Vonetta Flowers

After so many unsuccessful attempts she diverted her inspiration and dream and went on the path of bobsledding. With finding success in bobsledding (brake woman) she immediately owned fame and huge amount of success. She became the first black person ever to receive a gold medal in the 2002 Winter Olympics alongside with Jill Bakken in the two woman event. She is known to start running track at the age of 9. Not only was she the first black person to win medal for winter Olympics but also the first person for Alabama. Vonetta is the mother of beautiful twins and because of giving birth to them she decided to take a break from her successful life. In 2003 we saw Vonetta making a comeback with new driver known by the name of Jean Prahm. Her list of achievements includes Victor Award, Live the dream award. She was considered to be amongst 50 of the most inspiring African American by Essence Magazine, amongst the 57 intriguing blacks by Ebony magazine, 50 most beautiful people by People magazine, Alabama athlete of the year by U.S sports Academy. In 2010 she was also elected to the Alabama sports hall of fame. Talking about her favorites we have come to know her favorite color is green. Her favorite holiday of the year is Thanksgiving. Her favorite tv show is girlfriend and favorite actor is Samuel L Jackson.
